Fleet & Technical Management Philosophy
The primary function of Fleet and Technical department is to ensure the safe operation of our Ships in an Environment friendly and Cost effective manner. A great deal of emphasis is given to ship board maintenance by fully qualified and efficient crew. The committed shore based staff and workshop facility, mostly Ex-seafarers, provide efficient support and prompt guidance to floating staff on a continuous basis. This synergy ensures effective performance and operational efficiency of the vessels at all times. The Company is committed to and continues to focus on the safety, training and development of the employees.
We endeavor to manage our ships in a way that delivers customer satisfaction while
deriving maximum benefits to company.
Evaluation and Recording System of Ship's Condition:
The ships are monitored regularly, both during operation and when they arrive at Ports. Any deficiencies or non-compliance reported are immediately attended to. This ensures that the vessels are well maintained and operate at optimum efficiency levels. It also ensures that our vessels comply with all applicable rules and regulations promulgated by regulatory bodies like IMO, Classification Societies and Flag State, at all times. Superintendents inspect vessels at regular intervals and prepare exhaustive inspection reports listing the deficiencies observed and describing remedial measures. Copies of these reports are handed over to the Master and Chief Engineer. These inspection reports are followed up to safeguard vessel's maintenance and condition.
Training System for Employees
The Company continues to conduct the post-sea training program, initiated few years ago, for its marine officers. Under this program, appropriate training is imparted to the joining crew, in all aspects of safety and shipboard operations. To overcome the shortage of Seafaring officers company encourages recruiting fresh graduates as Trainee Marine Engineer (TME) and Trainee Marine Officers (TMO). These programs help the Company build up an efficient and well qualified cadre of experienced seafarers for our fleet. Our technical superintendents are encouraged to attend relevant conferences / seminars and interact on a daily basis with Classification Society surveyors, Suppliers and Manufacturers in order to broaden their knowledge and experience. We also organize regular in-house presentations / seminars for our shore based staff for this purpose.
